The Philodendron 'lime' is a beautiful and impressive variety of philodendron. The species grows in the wild in South and Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico. Due to its low requirements and high ornamental value, it is an excellent choice as a houseplant.
Heart-shaped, smooth leaves in a lovely neon color. Young leaves are bright yellow in color and turn greenish-purple over time. This bright color brightens and enlivens any interior space. Under the right conditions it can grow up to about two metres tall. It looks most beautiful when grown on a support, where it forms larger leaves. It can also be grown as a hanging plant, but it is necessary to prune the shoots frequently to obtain a more compact form.
