Compact Heads and Sweet, Vivid Flavor
Red Acre Cabbage, A red heirloom prized for its stunning appearance, exceptional flavor, and reliable, high-yielding performance.
Produces round, solid, medium-sized hearts in a breathtaking deep-crimson-to-purple hue, Red Acre is the gold standard for home gardeners seeking a prolific, disease-resistant variety that is both visually striking and delicious. It is a dense, non-bulbing type with smooth, tight leaves, offering a substantial harvest without overpowering smaller garden patches. Because it forms exceptionally compact, uniform heads (typically 1.5–2kg), it is the ultimate cabbage for consistent quality and manageable preparation.

Gardener’s Tip: Cabbages are heavy feeders—prepare your soil well with aged compost. As the heads begin to form, you can hill up the soil around the base to stabilize the heavy plant. Keep a eye out for signs of Cabbage White Butterfly larvae on the outermost leaves and act early if found. Cabbage White Butterfly decoys can also be effective.
