Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this fantastic 20th century Queen Anne antique style Mahogany highboy dresser / chest. We’re always in the market for antique highboys but also purchase a fair share of early 20th century examples, mostly custom bench made pieces. This chest was made around the middle of the 20th century and it is in exceptional condition. Antique chests can take on strange odors and accumulate much more dust so we actually prefer keeping our clothes in 20th century highboys. The chest can hold a considerable wardrobe with 7 drawers in the upper case arranged in a practical 3 over 4 layout with the full length drawers graduating in size. The upper case has carved quarter columns flanking the drawers with carved floral rosettes on the scrolled pediment and 3 turned urn finials. The lower case has 4 drawers with a nicely scrolled apron and finely formed cabriolet legs terminating in pad feet. The highboy measures 35 1/2” wide x 20 3/4” deep x 75 1/2” tall.
